These terms explain the basics of using The Study Desk website and tutoring services. Please contact us if you have questions before booking.
Tutoring services
The Study Desk provides personalized tutoring and academic support in the subjects and grade levels listed on the website. Session availability, format, and rates are shown on the relevant pages and during booking. Tutoring is intended to support learning; individual academic outcomes are not guaranteed.
Bookings and payments
Bookings are subject to tutor availability and the booking details presented at the time of scheduling. Payment and appointment information may be processed by Square or another provider when used; that provider’s terms and privacy practices also apply to activity on its platform.
Attendance
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring the student attends scheduled sessions on time. Late arrival does not automatically extend the scheduled session end time.
Tutor-initiated changes
If The Study Desk needs to cancel or reschedule a session due to tutor illness, an emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, the session will be rescheduled or the amount paid will remain as a credit.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Session cancellations, rescheduling, credits, and refunds are covered by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these service terms.
Students under the age of majority
A parent or legal guardian should submit or approve booking and intake information for a student under the age of majority, and may be contacted about scheduling and administrative matters.
Information and website use
Please provide accurate booking information and only upload materials you are authorized to share for tutoring. Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Updates and applicable rights
We may update these terms as our services change and will post the current version on this page. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
